Tipid Sarap Monggo na may Kangkong at Hibi
A thick, economical monggo stew brightened with kangkong and savory hibi.

Ingredients for Tipid Sarap Monggo na may Kangkong at Hibi
- 1 cup mung beans
- 1 Knorr Shrimp Cube
- 1 teaspoon hibi (dried small shrimp)
- 1 bunch kangkong, washed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, cubed
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 tablespoons crushed chicharon (optional)
- 4 cups water
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- Patis, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Tipid Sarap Monggo na may Kangkong at Hibi
- 1.Heat oil in a pot over medium heat; sauté onion, garlic, and tomato until the tomato softens.
- 2.Add mung beans and cook for 1 minute, then pour in water and bring to a boil.
- 3.Stir in the Knorr Shrimp Cube, cover, and cook until beans are very tender and the soup thickens, about 2 hours.
- 4.Add hibi and kangkong stalks; cook for 3 minutes. Season with patis and black pepper.
- 5.Add kangkong leaves and cook for 2 minutes. Serve with rice and crushed chicharon, if using.
