Ginataang Yellow Fin Tuna
Pan-fried yellowfin tuna gently simmers in creamy coconut sauce with ginger and ampalaya leaves.

Ingredients for Ginataang Yellow Fin Tuna
- 3 yellowfin tuna fillets, pan-fried 1 minute per side
- 1 cup ampalaya leaves
- 2 1/2 cups coconut cream
- 2 thumbs ginger, julienned
- 1 medium red onion, diced
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
How to cook Ginataang Yellow Fin Tuna
- 1.Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until onion softens. Add ginger and cook briefly.
- 2.Pour in coconut cream, stir, and bring to a boil. Add black pepper and fish sauce; cook 1 minute.
- 3.Add fried tuna fillets, spooning sauce over them. Cover and cook on low-medium heat for 12 minutes.
- 4.Add ampalaya leaves, cover, and cook 3 minutes. Sprinkle with chili flakes and serve.
