Pork Pastel
Creamy pork pastel combines tender pork, chorizo, and vegetables in a thick sauce.

Ingredients for Pork Pastel
- 800 g pork scotch, diced
- 2 chorizo, sliced
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 2 small carrots, diced
- 2 cups brown mushrooms, halved
- 1 small red capsicum, sliced
- 1 small green capsicum, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 large white onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 125 ml cream
- 1/4 cup flour dissolved in 1/2 cup water
- 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

How to cook Pork Pastel
- 1.Heat a little oil over high heat and brown pork lightly on all sides; remove.
- 2.Melt butter in the pot and sauté garlic and onion. Add chorizo and cook for 2 minutes.
- 3.Add stock and return pork. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 15 minutes.
- 4.Add potato, carrot, and mushrooms; simmer 10 minutes until pork is tender.
- 5.Add cream, flour slurry, and capsicums. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick.
- 6.Season with salt and pepper, then serve.
