Aloha Pork Chop
Aloha Pork Chop pairs tender pork with a tangy pineapple and capsicum sauce.

Ingredients for Aloha Pork Chop
- 1 kg pork shoulder chops or pork chops
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Oil, for cooking
- 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons banana ketchup
- 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 can (227 g) pineapple chunks, juice retained
- 1 small red capsicum, sliced
- 1 small green capsicum, sliced
- 1 white onion, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 thumb-sized ginger, julienned
How to cook Aloha Pork Chop
- 1.Season pork chops with salt and black pepper. Fry in oil over medium-high heat for 3 minutes per side, then remove.
- 2.Reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic, ginger, and onion in the same pan, adding oil if needed.
- 3.Mix pineapple juice, banana ketchup, brown sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, and reserved pineapple juice.
- 4.Pour sauce into the pan. Return pork with pineapple chunks and both capsicums; bring to a boil.
- 5.Cover, simmer on low for 15 minutes, adjust salt and pepper, then serve.
