Sabo Kamatis
Sabo Kamatis is a tomato-rich beef rib soup with daikon and leafy vegetables.

Ingredients for Sabo Kamatis
- 1 1/2 kg beef ribs
- 1 large bunch bok choy
- 1/2 head cabbage, sliced
- 1 small daikon radish, sliced
- 3 green chilies
- 6 tomatoes, quartered
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 onions, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fish sauce
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- 6 cups water
- Oil, as needed
How to cook Sabo Kamatis
- 1.Heat oil in a soup pot over high heat. Brown beef ribs on all sides, then transfer them out.
- 2.Reduce to medium heat; sauté garlic and onions for 1 minute. Add tomato paste for 30 seconds, then tomatoes until softened, about 3 minutes.
- 3.Return beef, add fish sauce and water, and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on low 1 1/2 hours until ribs are tender.
- 4.Add green chilies and daikon; cover and simmer 5 minutes. Add cabbage and bok choy, cover, and cook 3 minutes.
- 5.Season with salt and black pepper, then serve.
