Pork Monggo with Kangkong
Pork Monggo with Kangkong is a hearty mung bean stew topped with lechon kawali and chicharon.

Ingredients for Pork Monggo with Kangkong
- 1 cup mung beans
- 1 Knorr Pork Cube
- 4 oz lechon kawali, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups kangkong, chopped
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup crushed chicharon
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups water
- Patis and ground white pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Pork Monggo with Kangkong
- 1.Soak mung beans in 3 cups water overnight, then drain.
- 2.Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onion, garlic, and tomato until soft; add lechon kawali and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 3.Add soaked mung beans and sauté for 2 minutes. Add water, bring to a boil, then stir in Knorr Pork Cube.
- 4.Cover and simmer over low-medium heat for about 30 minutes until beans are soft, adding water if needed.
- 5.Add chicharon and kangkong; cook for 2 minutes. Season with patis and ground white pepper, then serve.
