Ginataang Langka with Tinapa Flakes
Creamy Ginataang Langka pairs tender young jackfruit with smoky tinapa flakes and malunggay.

Ingredients for Ginataang Langka with Tinapa Flakes
- 3 lb unripe jackfruit, chopped with seeds removed
- 4 cups coconut milk
- 8 hot chili peppers
- 4 oz tinapa flakes
- 1 1/2 cups malunggay leaves
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 1 large yellow onion, minced
- 2 tbsp bagoong
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 3 tbsp canola oil
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- Salt, to taste
How to cook Ginataang Langka with Tinapa Flakes
- 1.Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until the onion softens.
- 2.Add jackfruit and cook 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in tinapa flakes and cook 1 minute.
- 3.Add pepper and chili peppers. Pour in coconut milk, bring to a boil, then stir in bagoong and vinegar.
- 4.Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until jackfruit is tender.
- 5.Add malunggay and cook 5 to 10 minutes more. Salt only if needed, then serve with rice.
