Ginisang Sitaw Kalabasa at Malunggay with Shrimp
This quick ginisa pairs sweet kalabasa, sitaw, malunggay, and tender shrimp in a light broth.

Ingredients for Ginisang Sitaw Kalabasa at Malunggay with Shrimp
- 1 lb medium shrimp, heads and shells removed
- 1 lb butternut squash, cubed
- 18 to 20 sitaw, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup malunggay leaves
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 3 tbsp oil
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Ginisang Sitaw Kalabasa at Malunggay with Shrimp
- 1.Heat oil over medium heat and pan-fry shrimp for 1 minute per side. Transfer to a plate.
- 2.Sauté garlic and onion in the remaining oil until fragrant.
- 3.Stir-fry squash for 3 minutes, then add sitaw and cook 1 minute.
- 4.Add malunggay and chicken broth; bring to a boil, cover, and cook 5 to 8 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- 5.Season with salt and pepper, then serve the shrimp with the vegetables and broth.
