Cheesy Baked Macaroni
Cheesy Baked Macaroni combines beefy tomato pasta with a creamy cheese topping.

Ingredients for Cheesy Baked Macaroni
- 1 lb macaroni
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small yellow onion, cubed
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 1 lb tomato sauce
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups fresh milk
- 1/2 cup quick-melt cheese
How to cook Cheesy Baked Macaroni
- 1.Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, sauté garlic, onion, and bell peppers in oil for 3–5 minutes.
- 2.Add beef and cook until browned. Stir in bouillon, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper; boil, then cook 5 minutes.
- 3.Melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir in flour, then whisk in milk until smooth and thick; melt in quick-melt cheese.
- 4.Toss macaroni with meat sauce, a few tablespoons white sauce, and some cheddar. Transfer to a baking pan and cover with remaining white sauce.
- 5.Bake at 375°F for 15–18 minutes until golden. Rest a few minutes before serving.
