Copycat Jollibee Burger Steak
Juicy mixed-meat patties are finished with a mushroom-rich brown gravy.

Ingredients for Copycat Jollibee Burger Steak
- 700 g minced beef, 35% fat
- 300 g minced pork, 35% fat
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Oil, for frying
- 1 cup canned sliced button mushrooms
- 1/4 cup oil from frying patties
- 115 g butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups beef stock, or 2 Filipino Knorr beef cubes dissolved in 4 cups water
- Salt, to taste
- Finely ground black pepper, to taste
How to cook Copycat Jollibee Burger Steak
- 1.Mix beef, pork, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Shape into 1 1/2-cm-thick patties.
- 2.Heat oil over high until smoking, reduce to medium-high, and fry patties 2 1/2 minutes per side. Cover on a platter with foil.
- 3.In another pan, melt butter with 1/4 cup patty oil over low heat.
- 4.Whisk in flour and cook until light brown. Gradually add beef stock while stirring smooth.
- 5.Season, bring to a gentle boil, then simmer on low until thick. Add mushrooms and simmer 1 minute.
- 6.Spoon gravy over patties and serve with rice.
