Pochero with Pork and Beans
Pochero with Pork and Beans is a comforting pork stew with saba, vegetables, chorizo, and a rich tomato-bean broth.

Ingredients for Pochero with Pork and Beans
- 2 lb pork belly, cubed
- 1 Knorr Pork Cube
- 15 oz pork and beans
- 1 potato, cubed
- 2 saba bananas, sliced
- 1/4 head cabbage, sliced
- 1 bunch pechay
- 18 long green beans
- 1 Chorizo de Bilbao, sliced
- 1 tomato, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 cups water
- Patis, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
How to cook Pochero with Pork and Beans
- 1.Heat oil in a pot over medium heat; sauté onion, garlic, and tomato until softened.
- 2.Add pork and sauté until light brown, then stir in Pork Cube and chorizo; cook 1 minute.
- 3.Add water, boil, cover, and cook over low-medium heat 45 to 60 minutes until pork is tender, adding water if needed.
- 4.Add potato and saba; cover and boil 5 minutes.
- 5.Add pork and beans and cook 3 minutes.
- 6.Add long beans, cabbage, and pechay; cook 2 to 3 minutes until just tender.
- 7.Season with patis and black pepper, then serve hot.
